Frederik Andersen Gets a Shutout
Frederik Andersen of the Anaheim Ducks earned his second career shutout on January 14, 2015 agaisnt the Toronto Maple Leafs. Andersen won his 44th NHL game in 60 career NHL decisions (44-11-5), which is the best career start by an NHL goalie since Montreal’s Bill Durnan earned his NHL-record 44th win in 58 decisions in November 1944. Andersen is currently second in the NHL with 24 wins, which is a career best. Last season, he had 20 wins in 28 starts.
