Jarome Iginla of the Colorado Avalanche reached 1200 NHL points on January 30, 2015. The Avalanche played the Nashville Predators and shut them out by a score of 3 – 0. Iginla has scored a goal in each of his last three games, leading up to this milestone. The 1200 points put him in a tie with Dino Ciccarelli for 46th place on the NHL’s all-time list.
The 37 year forward played 15 seasons with the Calgary Flames before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012-2013 season in hopes of winning the Stanley Cup. He played with the Boston Bruins last season, and signed with the Avalanche last summer for 3 years. Iginla has played 1360 career NHL games recording 576 goals and 624 assists for 1200 points and added 916 penalty minutes to go with his scoring.
