Jaroslav Halak Hits 30 Win Mark
Jaroslav Halak of the New York Islanders recorded 30 wins in one season for the first time in his #NHL career on February 12, 2015. Halak is only two wins away from reaching the Islanders record for victories in a season, held by Billy Smith, Chris Osgood and Rick DiPietro. His previous career high was 27 wins, which he achieved in the 2010-2011 season with the St. Louis Blues. At this rate, he should be able to destroy the franchise record and could reach the 40 win mark as well. His 30 wins puts him in a tie for second most wins in the NHL and his strong play this season has helped the Islanders have a great season, as they currently sit first in the Metropolitan Division.
