John Tavares Reaches 400 NHL Games

|John Tavares of the New York Islanders reached 400 NHL games on February 3, 2015. The Islanders played versus the Florida Panthers and lost by a score of 4 – 2. The 24 year old captain of the Islanders was drafted 1st overall by New York in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Tavares played in the 2015 NHL All-Star Game in Columbus and scored four goals, which tied a record held by players like Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux. In 400 NHL games, Tavares has racked up 159 goals and 205 assists totalling 364 career NHL points and also adds 185 penalty minutes.
