Rob Blake got his jersey retired by the Los Angeles Kings on January 17, 2015. Blake played for the Kings for 13 NHL seasons, in two different stints. He was selected 70th overall in the NHL entry draft in 1988 by the LA Kings. In 1989-1990, he played 4 games for the Kings. Blake started playing full time in the 1990 -1991 season and played with the Kings until 2001, when he got traded to the Colorado Avalanche. He served as the captain for six seasons, from 1996 to 2001.
