Tom McCollum Plays First NHL Game, Gets First Win
Tom McCollum of the Detroit Red Wings played in his first NHL game on January 18, 2015. McCollum replaced goalie Petr Mrazek with 6:23 left in the period and then made seven saves to record is first career NHL win. The Wings went on to win the game with a score of 6 – 4, powered by a hat trick from captain Henrik Zetterberg.
