Wayne Simmonds Reaches 500 NHL Games

Wayne Simmonds of the Philadelphia Flyers on reaching 500 NHL games on January 31, 2015.. He celebrated the exact same milestone with his teammate, Jakub Voracek, on the same night. But they had very different paths in their NHL careers. Simmonds is 26 years old, and was drafted 61st overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He played 3 seasons for the Kings before he was part of a blockbuster trade, in which Mike Richards went to the Kings in exchange for Simmonds and Brayden Schenn. In 500 career games, Simmonds has tallied 129 goals and 137 assists for 266 points, as well as 612 penalty minutes.
