Shawn Thornton Reaches 600 NHL Games

Shawn Thornton of the Florida Panthers reached 600 NHL games on March 21, 2015. Florida battled against the Boston Bruins and were victorious, winning the game 2 – 1, in a shootout. Thornton is 37 years old and was drafted 190th overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Canadian left winger is playing in his 12th NHL season, and has played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Anaheim Ducks, the Bruins, and the Panthers. In 600 career NHL games, Thornton has tallied 39 goals, 53 assists, 92 points, and 954 penalty minutes.
