Carey Price Records Ninth Shutout
Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens recorded his ninth shutout of the season on March 21, 2015. Montreal went head to head against the San Jose Sharks and shut them out by a score of 2 – 0, putting them in a tie with the Anaheim Ducks for first in the NHL. Price faced 29 shots and turned them all aside for his 40th win of the season, which is a career-high. It was the first time Price reached the 40-win plateau in his career, and became the third Montreal goalie to reach 40 wins in a season, joining Plante, who accomplished the feat three times, and Dryden, who achieved it twice. Price is now first the NHL in all 4 goalie categories, goals-against average, save percentage, wins, and shutouts.
