Braden Holtby Gets Fifth Shutout

Braden Holtby of the Washington Capitals recorded his fifth shutout this NHL season, on January 28, 2015. The Capitals played the Pittsburgh Penguins, and shut them out by a score of 4 – 0. Holtby made 27 saves, and Alex Ovechkin scored 2 goals to lead the Capitals to their 25th win of the season. The five shutouts puts Holtby in a three-way tie with Henrik Lundqvist and Ryan Miller for second best in the league for shutouts this season. Five shutouts is a career high for Holtby, and it was also his 23rd win of the season, which matches a career high.
